THE BEST RUSSIAN CONTEMPORARY ARTIST

The list of the Best Russian contemporary artists (49ART-arteex) -  of authors not older than 1960 year of birth , was made by  ARTEEX   based on their creations  evaluation , popularity , commercial activity  (their titles, awards , participations in exhibitions and fairs , auctions , mention in art-ratings , presence of their works in museum collections  and so on  were taken into consideration). 

Some authors were included in the list of Best contemporary artists within the programme   Discovery (based on expert recommendations), which allows to open new talents to the art-society.  

ARTEEX does its best to be objective making the list, but anyway it reflects only subjective position of ARTEEX.

The maximum number of names in the List is – 250 authors (Top-250). Nowadays the list is being supplemented. The list is open. ARTEEX is   considering suggestions of including authors in the list of best contemporary artists.

Anastasia Russa included in the list of the Best Russian contemporary artists (ARTEEX). Anastasia Russa, born in Moscow in 1980, based in London. Studied Monumental painting in Moscow 1999 - 2005 and Fine Art in Wimbledon College of Art London 2013 - 2015. Participant of different solo and group exhibitions in both countries (residency and solo exhibition in Gridchinhall gallery in Russia and RED DOOR Project Space London). Winner of Portobello Wall Art Project, London, 2018, Best Student Prize, EWAAC , London, 2014, Laureate of the XVIII Moscow International Art Contest "Golden Brush", 2008, Laureate of the Youth Premium “TRIUMPH”, Moscow, 2005. Artworks included in Social Discovery Ventures Collection. Her own iconographic interest is to make new interpretations of the archetypal myths/dreams of humankind; juxtaposing classical figurative art with the newest concerns (post-Internet, gender, cultural identity, and equality).
